Actress Shailene Woodley, who played George Clooney's rebellious teen daughter in 'The Descendants', has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in 'Spider-Man 2'. Woodley is in early talks to join Andrew Garfield as the red-headed love interest of Peter Parker and his web slinger alter-ego, the Hollywood Reporter said. The role was previously played by Kirsten Dunst in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy. Columbia just closed deals with Marc Webb to return as the director after he successfully rebooted the franchise with 'Amazing Spider-Man', which grossed USD 752 million worldwide.
